Implantation of Implantable Collamer Lenses(ICL)has become a mainstream procedure in refractive surgery, with safety and efficacy continuously being key concerns. This paper reviews recent domestic and international studies on the functional and structural parameters,as well as the incidence of complications, following the implantation of ICL V4c,a new ICL model.Literature review indicates that changes in postoperative vault height, intraocular pressure, corneal endothelial cell density and loss rate, and the incidence of cataracts remain stable. The majority of adverse postoperative events are attributable to trauma, demonstrating a good safety profile.Furthermore, the efficacy of ICL implantation has also shown satisfactory results, with visual acuity, visual quality, and quality of life all performing well. However, some patients remain dissatisfied with their night vision quality.
