Meta-analysis of the Effect and Safety of Xiaoyao Pill in the Treatment of Menstruation Disorder
Objective To systematically evaluate the clinical effect of Xiaoyao pill in the treatment of menstrual disorders.Methods The article searched three Chinese databases(CNKI,WANFANG DATA and VIP)and two English databases(PubMed and Cochrane Library)to collect the relevant literature on Xiaoyao pill in the treatment of menstrual disorders before March 14,2023.Two researchers independently screened literature,extracted data,and assessed the risk of bias.RevMan 5.3 and Stata 11.0 software were used to analyze the data.Results And a total of 18 articles were included for Meta-analysis.The results suggested that the effective rate of Xiaoyao pill in the treatment of menstrual disorder in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group[RR(95%CI):1.23(1.18,1.29),P＜0.05],and there was a good effect during the treatment and follow-up period.In addition,Xiaoyao pill could also regulate the levels of Luteinizing Hormone[SMD(95%CI):-2.18(-3.66,-0.71),P＜0.05]and Follicle-stimulating Hormone[SMD(95%CI):-3.52(-5.44,-1.61),P＜0.05],and the results were statistically significant.Conclusions In summary,Xiaoyao Pill has a good effect on the treatment of irregular menstruation and also can reduce the level of Luteinizing Hormone(LH)and Follicle-stimulating Hormone(FSH)in the body and the mechanism may be related to the regulation and improvement of the adenopituitary-ovarian axis.
