Objective To investigate the effectiveness of burning moxibustion combined with Jiawei Shenghua decoction in the management of residual intrauterine pregnancy tissue after spontaneous delivery.Methods A total of 210 patients with residual intrauterine pregnancy tissue after full-term spontaneous delivery were randomly divided into the control group,the Jiawei Shenghua decoction group and the combined treatment group,each with 70 cases.In the control group,puerperal health education was conducted;in the decoction group,Jiawei Shenghua decoction was further given;in the combined treatment group,burning moxibustion therapy was administered alongside puerperal health education and Jiawei Shenghua decoction.The course of treatment was 7 d for all groups.Clinical efficacy and clearance rate at 14 d after treatment were compared between the 3 groups;the maximum diameter of uterine residues at 14 d after treatment and the sum of the 3 diameters of the uterus at 42 d after delivery were compared;vaginal bleeding time were compared.Results The total effective rate was significantly higher in the combined treatment group(88.6%)than in the decoction group(78.6%)and the control group(61.4%)(P＜0.05);the difference in the total effective rate was not statistically significant between the decoction group and the control group(P＞0.05).The clearance rate was significantly lower in the combined treatment group(2.9%)than in the decoction group(15.7%)and the control group(25.7%)(P＜0.05),and was significantly lower in the decoction group than in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the maximal diameter of intrauterine pregnancy residue in the 3 groups at 14 d after treatment(P＞0.05).At 42 d postpartum,the sum of the 3 diameters of the uterus was significantly smaller in the combined treatment group than in the decoction group and the control group(P＜0.05),and significantly smaller in the decoction group than in the control group(P＜0.05).Vaginal bleeding time was significantly shorter in the combined treatment group than in the decoction group and the control group(P＜0.05),and significantly shorter in the decoction group than in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Burning moxibustion combined with Jiawei Shenghua decoction can produce promising results in promoting the removal of residual intrauterine pregnancy tissue after spontaneous delivery.
