Perioperative Psychological Care in Patients with Acute Appendicitis Laparoscopic Surgery
Objective To explore intervention effects of perioperative psychological care in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for acute appendicitis. Methods 80 patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for acute appendicitis were selected and divided into the control group and the experimental group, using the method of randomized numerical table, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received routine perioperative nursing for acute appendicitis, while the experimental group added psychological care interventions on the basis of the control group. The study compared the time of first postoperative exhaust and resumption of independent activity between the two groups of patients;it assessed patients'psychological states before and after nursing intervention(using the anxiety and depression self-assessment scale scores);the study evaluated the effectiveness of nursing care and patients'satisfaction with the provided nursing services. Results The experimental group had shorter first exhaust time and recovery time of spontaneous activity after surgery compared to the control group, and the overall nursing effectiveness rate and patient satisfaction were higher than those in the control group(all P<0.05).After nursing intervention, the self-assessment scores of anxiety and depression in both groups of patients decreased compared to before nursing intervention, and the self-assessment scores of anxiety and depression in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(all P<0.05).Conclusion Perioperative psychological care demonstrates positive effects in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for acute appendicitis, which can accelerate postoperative recovery process, reduce anxiety and depression in patients, and improve nursing effectiveness and patient satisfaction.
