Functional Rehabilitation Nursing of an Elderly Patient with Acute Myocardial Infarction Complicated with Debilitation
Objective To summarize nursing experience of a debilitated elderly patient with acute myocardial infarction so as to provide reference for clinical nurses.Methods Comprehensive geriatric assessment techniques were used to analyze nursing problems;guided by the cardiac rehabilitation system,a rehabilitation nursing plan was carried out,and individualized intervention measures(sports rehabilitation,rehabilitation nutrition support,medication nursing,narrative nursing,follow-up management,etc.)were formulated;a multidisciplinary team participated in treatment and nursing;the effectiveness of these measures were finally evaluated.Results After meticulous rehabilitation nursing,the patient's quality of life was improved with no adverse complications observed.Conclusion Based on comprehensive geriatric assessment techniques and involved with multidisciplinary teams and case management,the holistic individualized rehabilitation nursing can facilitate the recovery of elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction and frailty,positively enhancing their quality of life.
