Research and Engineering Application of Flocculent Basalt Fiber Asphalt Mixture Technology
As a high-performance new type of mineral fiber,flocculent basalt fiber has high compatibil-ity with asphalt mixtures.To study the improvement effect of flocculent basalt fibers on the road performance of asphalt mixtures,firstly analyze the technical indicators of flocculent basalt fibers,then conduct mix proportion tests of flocculent basalt fiber asphalt mixtures,and finally evaluate the paving effect of flocculent basalt fiber asphalt mixture test roads.The results show that the volume parameters of the flocculent basalt fiber asphalt mixture meet the technical requirements and have excellent high temperature stability.Relying on the mainte-nance project of Nanjing Lianyungang first-class highway,the flocculent basalt fiber SMA-13 test road has achieved good application results.
