Indoor Evaluation Method of Hot Mix Emission Degradation Effect of Bitumen Perfume
Bitumen Perfume(BPF)can effectively degrade the harmful gases produced in the mixing process of asphalt mixture, but there is still a lack of mature indoor evaluation methods for the degradation effect.Given this, the following studies were carried out in this paper.Firstly, based on the asphalt mixing device,a set of gas collection equipment was designed to collect the gas samples produced in the mixing process, and an indoor evaluation method of the BPF degradation effect was proposed based on the degradation rate.Secondly, the harmful gas concentration and degradation rate of four kinds of hot-mixed asphalt mixture under different BPF content were evaluated, and the optimal BPF content determination method with target degradation rate as the control index was proposed. Finally, the properties of SBS-modified asphalt and its mixture were tested under the optimal BPF content. The indoor test results show that the degradation effect of the four gases is obvious gradually with the increase of BPF content.Under the recommended dosage, the per-formance test values of BPF and SBS composite-modified asphalt and its mixture have little difference com-pared with the original values, and all meet the relevant specifications.
