Performance Evaluation of Different High Modulus Modified Asphalt and Mixtures
In order to enhance the high-temperature performance and good low-temperature perform-ance of high-modulus asphalt, this study focuses on the use of different reinforcing agents, namely HM-Ⅰand HM-Ⅱ,which are composite-modified high-modulus agents prepared with an anti-rutting master-batch.The performance of three types of high-modulus asphalt and high-modulus asphalt mixtures was eval-uated by comparing them with the control group using the anti-rutting masterbatch. The results indicate that both HM-Ⅰ and HM-Ⅱ high modulus agents can enhance the high and low temperature properties of asphalt and mixtures, with HM-Ⅱ showing the most significant improvement.However,HM-Ⅱ has a relatively small impact on the workability of asphalt construction, whereas HM-Ⅰ improves it.Although HM-Ⅰ has lim-ited impact on the high and low temperature properties of asphalt and mixtures,it demonstrates better water stability improvement in asphalt mixtures compared to HM-Ⅱ.
