Observation on the effect of modified rhomboid flaps metastasis to repair nasal soft tissue defects
Objective To explore the clinical effect of using modified rhomboid flap metastasis to repair nasal soft tissue defects. Methods Forty-nine cases of nasal tumor patients admitted to the author's hospital from October 2018 to October 2021 underwent nasal tumor resection, and the defect was repaired by modified rhomboid flap metastasis. The survival, color and texture of skin flaps, wound flat-ness,scar hyperplasia was followed up and summarized. Results All 49 patients were followed up for 6 to 12 months. All flaps survived and incisions healed by the first intention, there was no recurrence.Between the flap and the surrounding normal tissues,no obvious color difference was observed, the tactile sensation was similar, and the transition was smooth and natural. There was no local traction and defor-mation in the operation area.No obvious scar was observed.Patients were satisfied with the appearance. Conclusion The modified rhom-boid flap is flexible in design and simple in operation. The postoperative flap has good local appearance and function. It is an ideal flap for repairing tissue defects after nasal tumor resection.
