Simultaneous modified breast lift combined with prosthetic augmentation mammoplasty in the treatment of breast ptosis with micromastia
Objective To explore the clinical effect of modified breast lift combined with prosthetic augmentation mammoplasty in the treatment of breast ptosis with micromastia.Methods From June 2018 to October 2023,49 patients with moderate and severe breast ptosis with micromastia were treated with modified vertical scar breast lift combined with prosthetic augmentation mammoplasty in Chongqing Huamei Plastic Surgery Hospital.Patients'satisfaction,breast shape,incision healing and short-term/long-term complications were followed up.Results The patients were followed up for 6 to 36 months.The incisions of 49 patients healed by the first intention.There were no com-plications such as hematoma,prosthesis rupture,exposure,infection and so on.The patient's satisfaction with the surgical incision and breast shape showed that 39 cases were very satisfied,7 cases were satisfied,and 3 cases were still not satisfied.The satisfaction rate is 93.88％.The 3 cases have been repaired by secondary operation finally.Conclusion Compared with staged breast lift and prosthetic augmentation mam-moplasty,the modified vertical scar breast lift combined with prosthetic augmentation mammoplasty in the same period has higher acceptance,less time cost and less economic burden.With the application of the modified vertical scar method during operation,the incision healed well and the incidence of complications was low,which is worthy of further clinical research,application and promotion.
