Clinical experience of real-time ultrasound-guided removal of polyacrylamide gel from the breast
Objective To explore the application value of high-frequency ultrasonic detection and guided removal of polyacry-lamide gel(PAAG)from the chest. Methods From January 2018 to August 2021,Thirtg patients with PAAG of the chest were selected. Before the operation,Ultrasound was used to evaluate the classification and location of the level, shape, size and character of PAAG.During the operation,PAAG was removed under the guidance of ultrasound.1 month after the operation,an ultrasound was used to check whether PAAG was residual completely. Results All 30 patients completed the operation, and the intra-operative ultrasonography of 28 patients indicated that PAAG had been cleared.Due to the prolonged injection of PAAG,2 patients had severe degeneration, which caused the degeneration of surrounding tissues and presented nodules of different sizes, with hard texture and calcification. After the nod-ules were removed, there was much bleeding in the tissues.Only concentrated distribution of PAAG was removed. Conclusion Ultra-sound-guided PAAG extraction is safer and more effective than traditional blind extraction, and Amazing-gel can be removed as much as possible with minimal damage.
