Investigation on Cracking Issues in the Stamping Process of Bridge Housings and Process Optimization
After stamping and forming on a 3000-ton press, cracking was observed in the flanged arc area of the bridge housing of an automotive stamped and welded axle, which was made from 8mm thick Q355B steel plate conforming to GB/T 1591 standards. This study comprehensively analyzes the issue through factors such as personnel, equipment, materials, methods, and environment,in conjunction with actual on-site production conditions.Based on the findings, specific measures are proposed to mitigate the cracking problem during the stamping process and optimize the overall production.
