Objective The dioxins in hairy crabs from the main breeding areas of Jiangsu Province were determined and analyzed. The main pollution sources which caused the exposure of dioxins in hairy crabs were analyzed. Methods The dioxins and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls in hairy crab meat, crab roe, aquaculture sediment, aquaculture water, aquatic grass, compound feed and chemicals were determined by gas chromatography-high resolution magnetic mass spectrometry. Results The total toxic equivalent concentration(TEQ)of dioxins in crab meat were 0.0537~0.301 pg/g and the toxic equivalent concentration of dioxin-like PCBs were 0.0122~0.0441 pg/g.The toxic equivalent concentration of dioxins in crab roe ranged from 1.14 to 3.43 pg/g,and the toxic equivalent concentration of dioxin-like PCBS ranged from 0.827 to 1.99 pg/g.The contribution of dioxins and dioxin-like PCBS to the total toxic equivalent concentration of hairy crabs were different. The highest contribution to the total toxic equivalent concentration of PCDD/Fs was 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD,which contributed 49.4%and 34.3%to crab meat and crab roe, respectively. The highest contribution rate to the total toxic equivalent concentration of DL-PCBs was PCB-126.and its contribution rate to crab meat and crab roe were 83.5%and 87.5%,respectively.Conclusion Through the analysis of the pollution sources of dioxin compounds in hairy crabs,it is concluded that the sediment is the main source of dioxin pollution in hairy crabs.
