A Study on Optimum Conditions for Increasing Rooting Rate of Allium Cepa
In order to study to improve the onion rooting rate, this topic took harvested onions as test material.Three factors were taken:three kinds of plant growth regulator i.e.,indoleacetic acid (IAA),6-benzyl adenine amino group (6-BA),naphthylacetic acid (NAA)) ; plant growth regulator treatment time and incubation temperature. The study was completed by using orthogonal experimental design. The onion was cultured in water and sand, respectively. The results showed that:(1) It was found that the optimum conditions is rooting rate of Allium cepa in water is 6-BA for 5 min at room temperature; (2) The optimum conditions is rooting rate ofAllium cepa in sand is NAA for 10 min at room temperature ; (3) Results showed that there is no significant difference of the number of rooting of Allium cepa in water and sand. Conclusions are that onion can root in room temperature condition.IAA、NAA and 6-BA are no significant differences in onion rooting.
