An Experimental Platform of Integrated Target Detection and Tracking for Compact HFSWR
Due to the low signal to noise ratio of target echoes for compact high-frequency surface wave radar(HFSWR),the targets with weak echoes are easily submerged into clutter and noise and difficult to be detected with missed detections and false plots produced, leading to track fragmentation and false tracking when traditional detection before tracking methods are used for target observation, which degrades the tracking performance in terms of tracking continuity. To achieve the long-term tracking of sea surface moving targets for compact HFSWR,a method of integrated target detection and tracking is proposed, and an information dynamic interaction mechanism between the detector and tracker is established. The experimental results show that the average track length obtained by the proposed method increases 17.52 minutes, compared with that of the detection before tracking method.According to the requirements of practical engineering applications,an experimental platform of integrated target detection and tracking for compact HFSWR is developed under the MATLAB R2018b,which provides a basic experimental platform for sea surface target observation using compact HFSWR.
