Application of Long-gauge FBG Sensing Technology in Structural Mechanics Experiment Teaching
In order to improve the simple content and backward method of traditional structural mechanics experiment teaching, the advanced long-gauge fiber brag grating(FBG)sensing technology is integrated into the comprehensive experimental teaching of structural mechanics to strengthen the cultivation of students'engineering application and innovation ability. In this paper,a comprehensive experiment of indirect displacement measurement is designed.By introducing the long-gauge FBG sensing principle and the indirect displacement measurement principle, the experimental flow of structural displacement measurement is demonstrated based on long-gauge FBG sensing. The dynamic and static experiments of a simple supported beam is taken as examples to guide students to design and complete the experiment. This indirect displacement measurement experiment based on long-gauge FBG sensing technology measures the strain and displacement response of the structure, and reveals the transformation relationship between strain and displacement of the structure. It improves the problems of single measurement content, unreliable technology and high cost, cultivates students'ability to combine theory with practice and analyze problems, deepens students'understanding of mechanics principles in structural mechanics, and realizes diversified experimental teaching.
