Application of Flow Cytometry in Antibiotic Antibacterial Experiments
In response to the current shortcomings of quantitative indicators, inability to accurately evaluate the growth status of bacteria, and long experimental cycles in the antibacterial testing of antibiotic drugs, this study explores the application of flow cytometry technology in the antibacterial testing of Xanthomonas with different mass concentrations(0.02~20 mg/mL)and treatment time(1 and 2 hours). The results show that under the same treatment time, the higher the concentration of Shenqinmycin is,the more necrotic cells in the late stage of apoptosis.Under the same treatment concentration, the proportion of dead cells significantly increases with the increase of treatment time with Shenqinmycin.Flow cytometry can quickly and accurately detect the growth status and vitality of bacteria in antibacterial experiments of antibiotics and other drugs. The results may provide scientific data support for the core technology in detecting the antibacterial mechanism of antibiotics and other drugs, and also help to expand the application of flow cytometry in the field of bacterial apoptosis research.
