Comprehensive Experiment Design of Generator Quasi-synchronizing Parallel Based on PSCAD
A comprehensive experiment of synchronous generator guasi-synchronizing parallel is designed to address the shortcomings in the teaching of power system automation experiments. An experimental model is established using PSCAD/EMTDC and included key components such as generators and grid systems, prime movers and their speed regulators, excitation systems,guasi-synchronizing parallel control units, and dynamic display of voltage vectors.Based on this experimental model,a series of progressive teaching experiments are designed, including validation experiments on unit startup and grid connection, analytical experiments on the effects of different parallel conditions, and design experiments on frequency and voltage regulation. The experiment integrates multiple core courses such as circuits, electrical machinery, automatic control theory, and power system analysis. It can enhance students'ability to apply knowledge to solve complex engineering problems and foster scientific research and innovative thinking. It provides a valuable exploration for the reform of experimental teaching in the context of the"new engineering"field.
