Design of Comprehensive Experimental Teaching of Cobalt Schiff Base Complex Synthesis
By refining and summarizing frontier scientific research results and new technologies and methods,we reform the course of"Coordination Chemistry".A comprehensive experiment is designed.The experiment uses 4-fluorosalicylaldehyde amino acid Schiff base as ligand,and the cobalt Schiff base complex is generated by a relatively simple solvent evaporation method.Further,the product is characterized by X-ray single crystal and powder diffraction,infrared spectra and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy,and its fluorescence properties are also explored.The content of the experiment includes the design,synthesis,structure representation and property research of complexes,and it guides students to cultivate the scientific research thinking of"structure determines property".Through the comprehensive experiment,the abstract concepts in coordination chemistry are vividly described,and not only the connotation of the course is enriched,but also students'interest in scientific research is stimulated,their innovation and practice ability is improved.
