Status Investigation and Safety Analysis in Microbial Laboratory
As international collaboration in microbial science research deepens, the introduction of foreign microorganisms has become increasingly frequent and significant. However,in the specific operational processes, there are various issues concerning the introduction, management, and disposal of microorganisms. This paper conducting a safety investigation of microbial laboratories, particularly focuses on the introduction of foreign microorganisms and safety management, aims to provide valuable insights for relevant scientific research.Taking Shanghai Jiao Tong University as an example,a questionnaire survey is designed and the results are analyzed.Several issues are identified, including a relatively low level of modernized management in microbial laboratories, inadequate safety education and training for laboratory personnel, and a lack of standardized and streamlined procedures for the disposal of microbial bio-waste.In order to resolve these problems,it recommends to enhance awareness of safety precautions in handling introduced microorganisms, establish a comprehensive safety monitoring system, refine microbial laboratory access protocols, and effectively address the disposal of microorganisms especially introduced from abroad.
