Experimental Study and Design of MCSEM Exploration Launch Current Perturbation Simulation
The quality of transmit current in marine controllable source electromagnetic method exploration is an important factor to affect the quality of received signal and exploration efficiency.Based on the COMSOL multiphysics virtual simulation platform, the effects of transmitting current strength and morphology parameters on the electric field response of MCSEM exploration are investigated. The results show that the unstable fluctuation of the transmit current strength can reduce the strength of the electric field response of the fundamental frequency and harmonic components of the received signal, mainly affect the value of the electric field at the middle and far offset distances. The increase of the rising and falling edges of the transmit current waveform has a small impact on the fundamental frequency and low harmonic components of the received signal, but it significantly reduces the strength of the electric field response of the high harmonic components, mainly affects the value of the electric field at the middle and near offset distances.Through the simulation and analysis method, the effect of the change of transmit current on the received signal in MCSEM exploration is analyzed, which can provide help for the interpretation of the amplitude versus offset distance curve in the actual exploration when the transmit waveform is abnormal.
