Study on Laboratory Safety Management Based on the Distribution of Accident Factors
To enhance laboratory safety management and effectively reduce the frequency of accidents,101 laboratory accidents occurring in China during 2001-2022 were statistically analyzed by applying charts and graphs based on three key indicators,i.e.,the total number of accidents, the number of accidents in which somebodies were wounded or died, and the number of casualties. We apply the association rule Apriori algorithm to comprehensively analyze the factors at different levels, the result reveals the distribution characteristics of accident factors. The results show that the frequency of accidents is higher in the second and fourth quarters, and Tuesday and Wednesday are the high accident periods, mainly caused by the increase in the frequency of accidents caused by human errors leading to related chemicals.Sunday accidents and casualties are the most serious, which mainly relates to the high number of people concentrating on experiments on Sundays.Overall, the most prominent human error caused by related chemicals is caused by explosion accidents, but the distribution of accident factors in different quarters exists big difference.Combining the results of the comprehensive analysis of accident factors with corresponding measures to strengthen safety management can enhance the level of safety management and effectively reduce the frequency of accidents and casualties.
