Discussion on Low-carbon Construction of High-Performance Computing Platform in Universities
In view of the high energy consumption caused by the increase of the scale of computing power in universities,the traditional power usage effectiveness cannot accurately depict the relationship between computing power and energy consumption in measuring the green and low carbon of high-performance computing platform.Therefore,composition of computing power and energy consumption and the main low-carbon technologies of high-performance computing platform in universities are studied.Based on the analysis and statistics of the computational power scale and power usage effectiveness,a general carbon efficiency model is proposed to calculate the relationship between computing power and energy consumption,meanwhile,in the context of dual carbon,recommendations for developing high-performance computing platform in universities are proposed from low-carbon technologies and carbon reduction measures.This paper has certain guidance and reference significance for the low carbon construction of high-performance computing platform in universities.
