Reform and Practice of the Management Mode of Large-scale Engineering Research Facilities in Universities
Large-scale research facilities are the important foundation and condition guarantee for the first-class engineering disciplines in top universities.For a long time,facilities are managed by professors and their teams,which leads to a low degree of openness and sharing of facilities in universities.The reform of the phased management model based on the characteristics of the facility is proposed.A public service platform and an online appointment system are established in SJTU to centralize 5 facilities and open to all disciplines and industry units outside the university.A series of policies are ensured the smooth progress of the reform and the reform greatly improves the rate of opening and sharing of facilities.The enthusiasm of all departments in the university to participate in marine research in the field of science by using the facilities is stimulated.The proportion of innovative research carried out by relying on facilities increases significantly.The ability of multi-facility linkage to serve the development of major equipment in the national marine field is fully released.The practice and exploration of the reform of the management mode have certain reference value for other universities to carry out the management of large-scale engineering research facilities.
