Experimental Design of Hydrogen Jet Flame Characteristics Teaching Experiment
Safety is a prerequisite for the large-scale use of hydrogen. In order to study the combustion characteristics of hydrogen jets,an experiment system for hydrogen jet combustion characteristics is independently built. The experiment analyzes the changes in hydrogen jet flow rate, flame shape, central temperature, and radiation field with pressure variations. For the analysis of flame shape,a method of converting images into binary images is used to obtain results. The results indicate that when the pressure decreases by 16.95%,the flame length decreases by 13.29%,and the flame height decreases by 7.29%.With the pressure maintained at 1.02 MPa,the central temperature decreases by an average of 70.10%as the distance increases. At a distance of 1.5 meters from the jet nozzle plane, the average radiation intensity decreases by 18.43%.In addition, through hydrogen jet combustion experiments, the changes in the surrounding temperature field and radiation field due to accidental hydrogen leakage have been determined, providing assurance for the safe utilization of hydrogen.
