Reform Practice of System Identification Experimental Teaching Based on Physical White Box and Flipped Classroom
In order to stimulate students'interest of system identification and reduce the difficulty of study,a set of experimental equipment is developed for system identification teaching, which includes a"white box"with a known structure of first-order and second-order circuit but unknown parameters. The signal measurement is implemented by STM32F103 microcontroller and virtual oscilloscope run in host computer. The teaching contents and procedures of identification experiment is designed based on step response method to change students from concrete thinking to abstract thinking.Flipped Classroom teaching mode is practiced to improve student participation. The teaching outcomes indicate that the identification experiment based on physical white box significantly assists students in comprehensively understanding the concept of system identification and mastering the basic methods. This process subsequently enhances their practical abilities and lays a solid foundation for their upcoming courses.
