This paper explains the definition and characteristics of humanities and social sciences laboratories in universities,draws lessons from the innovative practices of humanities and social sciences laboratories abroad in terms of new interdisciplinary platforms,new modes of integrating teaching and research,as well as new resources for industry-university-institute cooperation.This paper points out that it is essential to establish a system of humanities and social sciences laboratories with Chinese characteristics,focusing on building interdisciplinary platforms,cultivating well-rounded individuals and facilitating cooperation among the government,universities and industries.
