WOOP Thinking-based Reform of Experimental Teaching
By delving into individuals'cognitive processes when encountering new concepts, this study utilizes WOOP thinking psychology to investigate methods for fostering students'internal drive through course design.A teaching model is proposed that integrates these principles across all stages of students'comprehension of novel information, from initial curiosity to profound understanding, practical application, and internalization as personal knowledge. The WOOP thinking psychology is applied at each stage, blinding optimism encourages students to maintain curiosity towards new knowledge, informing pessimism aids in recognizing the complexity of information and overcoming challenges.During the value transformation phase, students integrate new information and adjust learning strategies, and in the stage of informed optimism, students confidently apply their knowledge and appreciate the outcomes of their learning.Ultimately, this approach guides students from passive learning to active exploration, nurtures their lifelong learning capabilities.
