Preparation of Similar Simulation Experimental Materials for Coal and Gas Outburst and Experimental Verification
Coal and gas outbursts are highly dangerous and destructive, which makes difficult to conduct on-site experimental research.Indoor similarity simulation experiments are a safe and effective research method, and the proportion of similar materials is crucial for prominent experiments. In this study, sodium humate was selected as the binder.Through similar material ratio experiments, the relationship between the physical and mechanical properties of similar coal materials and the mass fraction of sodium humate was studied.A coal seam similar material that can be used for coal and gas outburst experiments was selected. The composition was coal powder(particle size 0-1 mm)∶coal powder(particle size 1-3 mm)∶sodium humate aqueous solution(mass fraction 8%)=9.5∶3.0∶1.0.To verify the scientificity and applicability of similar material ratios, based on similarity criteria,a coal and gas outburst similarity simulation experiment was conducted using a typical outburst accident as a prototype using an outburst experimental device. After the outburst, the coal powder in the middle of the pipeline accounts for 57.48%of the total coal powder in the pipeline, and the coal powder in the back of the pipeline accounted for about 5.51%.The coal powder shows a normal distribution, with small and large protruding holes,is similar to the phenomenon of on-site outburst accidents. Therefore, this similar material can be well used in coal and gas outburst experiments.
