This paper introduces the concept of activated sludge expansion, types and the related theory, and applications in such situation at home and abroad, points out the problems of the main factors that sludge baulking wastewater quality, dissolved oxygen, sludge load, impact load and operation mode and process etc, and includes several filamentous fungus sludge expanding control measures.
