Association of Serum Adiponectin and Omentin-1 with Coronary Artery Calcification and Its Severity in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease
Objective To investigate the association of serum adiponectin and omentin-1 with coronary artery calcification(CAC)and its severity in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods A total of 192 patients with chest pain or chest tightness who were diagnosed with coronary heart disease by coronary angiography(CAG)and coronary intravascular ultrasound(IVUS)in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected.Baseline data(including age, gender,BMI,smoking history, history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes),laboratory parameters {including TC,TG,LDL-C,lipoprotein a[Lp(a)],serum uric acid(SUA),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),y-glutamyl transferase(GGT),phosphorus, blood calcium, serum adiponectin and omentin-1} and IVUS results(including occurrence of CAC and calcification index of patients with coronary heart disease and CAC)were collected. The patients were divided into calcification group(with CAC,n=121)and non-calcification group(without CAC,n=71)according to the occurrence of CAC.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of CAC in patients with coronary heart disease.Spearman rank correlation analysis was used to investigate the correlation between serum adiponectin and omentin-1 and calcification index in patients with coronary heart disease and CAC.Results The age in the calcification group was older than that in the non-calcification group, the proportion of patients with history of hypertension, and proportion of patients with history of diabetes in the calcification group were higher than those in the non-calcification group(P<0.05).TG,SUA,ALP and phosphorus in calcification group were higher than those in non-calcification group, and serum adiponectin and omentin-1 were lower than those in non-calcification group(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that serum adiponectin was an influencing factor for CAC in patients with coronary heart disease(P<0.05),and serum omentin-1 was not an influencing factor for CAC in patients with coronary heart disease(P>0.05).Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that serum adiponectin was negatively correlated with calcification index in patients with coronary heart disease and CAC(rs=-0.563,P=0.001),there was no linear correlation between serum omentin-1 and calcification index in patients with coronary heart disease and CAC(rs=-0.030,P=0.743).Conclusion Serum adiponectin is an influencing factor for CAC in patients with coronary heart disease, and it is negatively correlated with the degree of CAC.Serum omentin-1 is not an influencing factor for CAC in patients with coronary heart disease, and there is no linear correlation between serum omentin-1 and the degree of CAC.
