Summary of Differentiation and Treatment of Dilated Cardiomyopathy Based on the"Static Collaterals Leading to Swelling"Theory
Dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM)belongs to the category of"cardiac distension"in traditional Chinese medicine, its onset is related to"stagnation of collaterals".Factors such as the six exopathogens and pathogenic factors, collaterals deficiency, blood stasis, and phlegm turbidity can contribute to this stagnation.Over time, pathological changes in the collaterals lead to localized distension, with a longer course of the disease that is difficult to cure. This essay explores the etiology, pathogenesis, treatment method and medication of DCM based on the"static collaterals leading to swelling"theory,it points out that, the etiology and pathogenesis of DCM include toxin-induced blood stagnation,deficiency-induced stagnation and phlegm-induced blood stagnation, treatment should be based on"through"method through the whole process, and the treatment such as detoxifying and eliminating pathogens, tonifying the body's resistance and Qi,and resolving phlegm and promoting collateral circulation should be as the treatment principle of DCM,in order to provide new theoretical foundations and diagnostic strategies for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of DCM in traditional Chinese medicine.
