As the largest and most comprehensive local chronicle in Shaoyang area,Baoqingfuzhi contains a large number of legends of gods and monsters,especially in Xingshengji and Jiangliji of it.In these seemingly inadvertently recorded stories,hidden and rich social content can be said to be a mirror of the ideological culture of the Baoqing region during that time.From these,we can take a glimpse of Baoqing ancestors'sacrificial culture,social life,folk customs,etc.,and then explore the cultural psy-chology hidden behind these mythical legends.
