Influence of Board Cultural Diversity on Vertical Pay Gap in Enterprises
In recent years, the policy orientation of pay has gradually shifted toward a market-based distribution model, aiming to enhance employee creativity and improve corporate competitiveness. This paper analyzes the influence of board cultural diversity on the vertical pay gap from the perspective of corporate governance.Theoretical analysis and empirical testing reveal that greater board cultural diversity correlates with an increased vertical pay gap within enterprises.Government subsidies and en-terprise size positively correlate with this gap, while top management fraud has the opposite effect. The study recommends that enterprises introduce talents from diverse regions abroad and reform their pay sys-tems in a market-oriented manner. It is imperative to improve the monitoring mechanisms and strengthen the internal control system construction to maximize the incentivizing effect of the pay system.
