The Impact of Innovation Agglomeration on Industrial Green Transformation
By constructing a new economic growth model that includes innovation agglomeration sectors, the nonlinear mechanism of innovation agglomeration on industrial green transformation is theoretically explained.Furthermore, based on the panel data of 282 cities in China from 2006 to 2020,this paper empirically tests the nonlinear impact,heterogene-ity and spatial spillover effects of innovation agglomeration on industrial green transformation, and verifies the moderating effect of fiscal vertical imbalance and foreign direct investment. The research finds that innovation agglomeration has a U-shaped impact on industrial green transformation, which is still true after a series of robustness tests;Innovation ag-glomeration can effectively promote the green transformation of industries in eastern cities and first tier cities, but it has suppressed the green transformation of industries in central cities,resource-based cities, and fourth and fifth tier cities; The U-shaped relationship between innovation agglomeration and industrial green transformation is negatively regulated by fiscal vertical imbalance and positively regulated by foreign direct investment; There is a significant inverted U-shaped spatial spillover effect of innovation agglomeration on the green transformation of industries in regions with similar geographical distances.
