Can Digital Financial Agglomeration Help Promote the High-Quality Economic Development?
Under the new development pattern,digital financial agglomeration plays an important role in the high-quality economic development.Based on China's provincial panel data from 2011 to 2021,this paper analyses the connotation of high-quality economic development from the two dimensions of"increasing quantity"and"improving quality",and con-structs an indicator system based on it to explore the impact of digital financial agglomeration on the high-quality econom-ic development and its mechanism.The results show that:digital financial agglomeration can significantly promote the level of high-quality economic development;the spatial distribution structure of digital financial agglomeration has heter-ogeneous characteristics on the high-quality economic development,with the monocentric distribution structure inhibiting the high-quality economic development and the polycentric distribution structure promoting it;and digital financial ag-glomeration can promote the development by improving the level of innovation.Accordingly,we should guide digital finan-cial agglomeration,enhance local digital financial supply capacity,optimise the spatial distribution of digital finance,es-tablish a reasonable spatial distribution structure of digital finance,build an innovative ecological environment,and solidly promote high-quality economic development.
