人工智能、劳动生产率与制造业转型升级

基于中国2007-2022年A股制造业上市公司的微观数据,在新古典经济增长理论框架下,构建固定效应模型评估人工智能应用对制造业劳动生产率及转型升级的影响,并运用双重差分倾向得分匹配法(PSM-DID)进一步进行了验证.研究发现,人工智能的渗透显著正向促进了制造业的转型升级.进一步分析揭示,人工智能主要通过提升劳动生产率来促进制造业的转型升级,其中,劳动生产率在人工智能与制造业转型升级之间起到中介作用.异质性分析发现,不同行业、企业规模和区域位置等因素对人工智能的影响效应有显著差异.
Artificial Intelligence,Labor Productivity and the Transformation and Upgrading of Manufacturing Industry
Based on the micro data of A-share manufacturing listed companies in China from 2007 to 2022,under the framework of the neoclassical growth theory,a fixed effects model was constructed to evaluate the impact of artificial intel-ligence(AI)application on the labor productivity and transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.The propensity score matching-difference-in-differences(PSM-DID)method was further employed for verification.The study found that the penetration of AI significantly and positively promoted the transformation and upgrading of the manufactur-ing industry.Further analysis revealed that AI mainly promotes the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing in-dustry by improving labor productivity,in which labor productivity plays an intermediary role between AI and the transfor-mation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.The heterogeneity analysis found that factors such as different indus-tries,firm sizes,and regional locations have significant differences in the impact effects of AI.
