Objective To study the flavonoid glycosides from the herbal Leontopodium leontopodioides (Wild.) Beauv. Methods The compounds were isolated by chromatography on silica gel column, Sephadex LH-20 column, ODS column and recrytallization method, and identified on the basis of physico-chemical properties and spectral analysis. Results Five compounds were isolated and identified as apigenin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1),luteolin-4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), 6-hydroxyluteolin-7-O-β-D)-glucopyranoside (3),6-hydroxyapigenin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (4), quercetin-3-O-β-D-gluco-pyranoside (5). Conclusions Compounds 4 and 5 are isolated from this genus for the first time, while compounds 2 and 3 are isolated from this herb for the first time.
