Research progress of in-situ self-assembled nano-drug delivery systems for tumor immunotherapy
Objective The construction of in-situ self-assembled nano-drug delivery systems and their mechanism in tumor immunotherapy have been reviewed, aiming to provide new ideas for drug delivery based on tumor immunotherapy. Methods The terms"in-situ self-assembly","immunotherapy"and"tumor"are used to search for domestic and foreign literature, with the aim of summarizing the construction of tumor sites in self-assembled nano-drug delivery systems and their mechanisms for enhancing immune efficacy. Results In-situ self-assembled nano-drug delivery systems could reach the lesion site through in vitro assisted targeting.Driven by various forces such as hydrophobic interactions, electrostatic interactions, coordination bonds etc.,stimuli from in vitro or in vivo physiological and pathological environment could trigger in-situ self-assemble to form new substances. The body's immunity could be improved comprehensively by increasing immune drug retention, enhancing tumor immunogenicity, promoting the maturation of antigen presenting cells or increasing immune effector cell infiltration. Conclusion In the future, the significance of in-situ self-assembled nanomedicine in the delivery of anti-tumor drugs should be deeply explored, promoting greater progress in self-assembled drugs in tumor treatment.
