Isolation and identification of chemical constituents from Clinopodium polycephalum(Ⅱ)
Objective To study the chemical constituents from Clinopodium polycephalum.Methods Multiple separation methods including macroporous adsorption resin chromatography,silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20 and HPLC method,were adopted to isolated compounds from the 70%ethanol extract of C.polycephalum and their structures were identified according to the physicochemical properties and spectral data.Results Fifteen compounds were identified as pinoresinol(1),medioresinol(2),syringaresinol(3),1-hydroxysyringaresinol(4),4-ketopinoresinol(5),(6R,7E,9R)-9-hydroxy-4-megastigmandien-3-one(6),dehydrovomifoliol(7),loliolide(8),methyl sinapate(9),methyl syringate(10)methyl 4-hydroxycinnamate(11),buddlejasaponin Ⅳ(12),clinoposaponin D(13),isosakuranin(14),didymin(15).Conclusion Compounds 1-5 were isolated from the genus Clinopodium for the first time.
