Objective To investigate the relationship between the dislocation of the long head tendon of the bi-ceps(LHBT)and the damage to surrounding tissue structure. Methods The MRI data of 31 patients with arthroscopy-conformed biceps tendon dislocation were retrospectively enrolled. The difference in tear rates of LHBT,lateral coracohumeral ligament(LCHL),medial coracohumeral ligamental-superior glenohumeral ligament complex(MCHL-SGHL),transverse humeral ligament(THL),subscapularis tendon(SSC)and supraspinatus tendon(SSP)and their MRI manifestations were contrasted and analyzed. Results For 31 patients,14 cases showed subluxation, while 17 cases showed dislocation(10 with I type,6 with Ⅱ type, and 1 with Ⅲ type). The torn numbers of the structures mentioned above in the subluxation and dislocation group were 9 cases vs 11 cases,4 cases vs 13 cases,11 cases vs 16 cases,5 cases vs 16 cases,8 cases vs 17 cases, and 10 cases vs 11 cases. The tear rates of LCHL,THL,and SSC in the subluxation group were lower than those in the dislocation group(all P<0.05),and there was no statistical differ-ence in the tear rates of all structures among the subtypes of total dislocation(all P>0.05).Conclusion LHBT dislo-cation is often associated with the tears of itself and its fixed structures, which should be carefully and comprehen-sively observed in the diagnosis.
