Objective To evaluate the value of ultrasound-guided fine needle puncture biopsy(US-FNAB)in the diagnosis of thyroid nodules,to provide a reference for early diagnosis and targeted intervention. Methods A total of 124 patients with thyroid nodules treated in our hospital from June 2019 to June 2023 were retrospectively selected, and US-FNAB and ultrasound elastography were performed after admission. With surgical or pathological diagnosis results as the"gold standard",the diagnostic results and diagnostic efficacy of ultrasonography and US-FNAB for thy-roid nodules were compared. Results Among 124 cases of thyroid nodules,41 cases were malignant and 83 cases were benign. The results of ultrasonic elastic imaging showed 28 malignant nodules and 96 benign nodules. The US-FNAB diagnosis showed that there were 30 malignant nodules and 94 benign ones.US-FNAB combined ultrasonogra-phy showed that 40 cases were malignant and 84 were benign. The sensitivity and accuracy of US-FNAB combined ul-trasonography for the diagnosis of thyroid nodules were 92.7%and 96.0%,which was higher than that of ultrasonogra-phy alone(63.4%and 86.3%)and US-FNAB examination(70.7%and 89.5%),the missed diagnosis rate was 7.3%,which was lower than that of 36.6%and 29.3%of US-FNAB(P<0.05).Conclusion US-FNAB has a high diagnostic value for thyroid nodule properties. It can be used to evaluate thyroid nodule properties early through its combination with ultrasound elastography,so as to make targeted treatment plans and improve prognosis.
