Analysis of the effect of ligament repair surgery on bone metabolism and recovery in patients with ankle fractures and deltoid ligament injuries
Objective To investigate the effect of ligament repair surgery on bone metabolism and recovery in patients with ankle fracture complicated with deltoid ligament injury. Methods One hundred and eleven patients with ankle fracture and triangular ligament injury admitted to the Department of Orthopedics,Longquanyi District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected. The patients were divided into an experimental group(n=56)and a control group(n=55)by random number table method. The control group was treated with open reduction plate internal fixation. The experimental group was treated with ligament repair surgery. The postoperative recovery rate, bone metabolism, ankle joint activity, clinical score changes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After surgery, the excellent and good recovery rate of ankle joint function in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, bone metabolism and clinical scores were improved in both groups, and the improvement in the experimental group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The valgus angle and valgus strength were increased and the medial ankle joint gap was decreased in both groups, and the experimental group was better than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in advance reaction between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions The application of ligament repair surgery in ankle fractures combined with deltoid ligament injuries has significant effects. It can effectively improve the patient's bone metabolism and promote the recovery.
