Efficacy observation of myofascial fingering relaxation combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation in the treatment of myofascial pelvic pain syndrome
Objective To explore the efficacy of myofascial fingering relaxation combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation in the treatment of myofascial pelvic pain syndrome(MPPS).Methods A total of 206 patients with MPPS treated in our hospital from January 2020 to May 2023 were selected. They were divided into a control group and a treatment group by using random number table method,103 in each group. The control group was treated with neuromuscular electrical stimulation. The treatment group was treated with myofascial fingering relaxation combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation. The efficacy,Glazer pelvic floor muscle surface electromyography, pain degree, and female sexual function index(FSFI)were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of treatment was higher in the treatment group than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,pre-resting and post-resting coefficient of variation, and resting potential were decreased while rapid contraction and endurance contraction were increased in the two groups.Above indicators in the treatment group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in continuous contraction data before and after treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores of the two groups was decreased, and the FSFI scores were in-creased.The experimental group had lower VAS score and higher FSFI score than the control group did(P<0.05).Conclusions Application of myofascial fingering relaxation combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation in the treatment of patients with MPPS can significantly improve the efficacy and pelvic floor muscle strength, alleviate the pain, and improve the quality of sexual life.It can be used for clinical promotion.
