Evaluation method of fluid production characteristics for prediction of high-rank coal reservoir productivity
The overall development effect of Zhengzhuang block is relatively poor, mainly due to the mismatch between the development technologies and the characteristics of coal reservoirs.Comprehensive evaluation of coal reservoirs is the basis for establishing reasonable development strategies. The geological development characteristics of coal reservoirs were investigated, and the production mechanisms of coalbed methane were analyzed. It is proposed that driving nature, flowability and reservoir modifying ability are main factors determining single-well production. The reservoirs were comprehensively evaluated by using analytic hierarchy process, and three types of reservoir models were established. The results show that the driving force for fluid production mainly depends on gas saturation. The higher the gas saturation, the stronger the driving nature is.Flowability depends on the development characteristics of coal rock pores and fractures, while modifying ability depends on the development degree of coal body structure and in-situ stress. In areas where endogenous fractures are not developed, reasonable reduction of fracture spacing and large-scale multi-cluster multistage fracturing can be implemented to achieve network transformation. In areas where exogenous fractures are not developed, horizontal wells with large displacement volume stimulation can be used to construct artificial complex networks and to achieve maximum reserve control. This study provides a new method for evaluating and realizing efficient development of coal reservoirs.
