Clinical Effect of Wenyang Xiaoying Formula(温阳消瘿方)on Hashimotos Thyroiditis and Its Influence on TPOAb and TGAb Titers
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Wenyang Xiaoying Formula(温阳消瘿方)on Hashimoto's thyroiditis and its influence on anti thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb)and anti thyroglobulin antibody(TGAb)titers.Methods Eighty-nine patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis admitted to the endocrine department of the hospital(from June 2021 to June 2022)were included in this experiment.The patients were randomly divided into two groups:the control group(44 cases)and the test group(45 cases).The patients in the control group were treated with conventional western medicine.The patients in the test group were treated with Wenyang Xiaoying Formula on the basis of the treatment in the control group.The data of the two groups was compared before and after treatment.The titers of TPOAb and TGAb,TCM syndrome scores(anterior cervical swelling,fa-tigue,cold and cold limbs,waist and knee stiffness)and adverse reactions of treatment were compared.Results The total effective rate of the test group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Before treatment,the titers of TPOAb and TGAb,TCM syndrome scores(anterior cervical swelling,fatigue,cold chills,waist and knee stiffness)and other indicators of the two groups were not significant(P＞0.05).After treatment,the titers of TPOAb and TGAb and TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were significantly reduced,and the titers of TPOAb and TGAb and TCM syndrome scores of the test group were significantly reduced compared with those of the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There is no statistically signifi-cant difference in the changes of the anterior-posterior diameter and isthmus thickness between the left and right lobes of the thyroid after treatment(P＞0.05).Conclusion Wenyang Xiaoying Formula has a significant clinical effect on Hashimoto's thyroid-itis.The symptoms of the patients are improved significantly,and the thyroid antibody titer has been improved significantly.No adverse reactions were observed during the treatment.It is safe and effective.
