Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment and Historical Origin of Herpes Zoster
By referring to ancient books and literature related to herpes zoster,this paper summarizes the experience of ancient and modern doctors,and summarizes the different understandings of ancient and modern doctors on herpes zoster from the aspects of disease name,etiology,pathogenesis and treatment.There are many ancient diseases,which was unified as"herpes zoster"in Qing Dynasty and it is still used today.The etiology is mainly emotional internal injury,feeling external evil,the es-sence lies in the heart and liver wind fire and spleen and lung dampness and heat.At the same time,summed up the ancient and modern medical treatment experience,internal and external treatment,complement each other.The internal treatment is mainly"cooling heart and purging liver,clearing heat and dampness",the external treatment is acupuncture and moxibustion activating collaterals and analgesia,ointment,powder and other forms of external use to direct the disease.
