Analysis on the Mechanism of Houxi Point in Treating Neck,Shoulder,Waist and Leg Pain
The Houxi acupoint was first seen in Lingshu·Benshu,it is the Shu acupoint of the Small Intestine meridian of hand Taiyang,and it is also one of the meeting points of the eight meridians,which is connected to the Du meridian.Houxi acu-point is widely used in clinical practice,and it is especially effective for the treatment of neck,shoulder,waist and leg pain syn-drome.Knowing its origin,comprehending its principles,and abiding by its rules can only be practiced.In order to provide a strong and solid theoretical support for Houxi's clinical treatment of neck,shoulder,waist and leg pain,this article discusses its application from the perspectives of the acupoints'nature(small intestine meridian acupoint,the Shu acupoint of Wushu acu-points,one of the intersection acupoints of the eight meridians),meridian of the same name,Dong's special acupoints,and the second metacarpal bone holographic theory.
