Research Progress in Regulating Intestinal Microecology in the Treatment of Functional Constipation
Functional constipation is a chronic gastrointestinal disease,and the main clinical manifestations are time-consu-ming and laborious bowel movements,reduced frequency and unhappiness after stool.In recent years,lifestyle changes have in-creased the global incidence of functional constipation,increasing the risk of endocrine,cardiovascular,anorectal and psychiatric diseases,reducing patients'appetite and quality of life,and affecting work efficiency and mental health.Therefore,its treatment research has risen to the top of the hot spot.More and more research data show that intestinal microbiome imbalance plays a very important role in the development of FC,and it is of great significance to effectively restore the balance of intestinal flora in pa-tients during the treatment of FC to improve the symptoms related to constipation.The objective of this review was to summarize the application and latest progress of the regulation of intestinal microbiome therapy FC through fecal bacteria transplantation,mi-croecological preparations and traditional Chinese medicine.
