Effects of Acupoint Application on Allergic Rhinitis in Children Based on TLR4/NF-κB Pathway
Objective To analyze the effect of acupoint application on children with allergic rhinitis based on TLR4/NF-κB pathway. Methods A total of 78 children with allergic rhinitis admitted to our hospital from April 2022 to June 2023 were selected and randomly divided into observation group(40 cases)and control group(38 cases). The control group was given levokabastin nasal spray treatment, and the observation group was given acupoint application treatment on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, syndrome score changes, nasal ventilation function changes,TLR4/NF-κB pathway changes, adverse reac-tions during treatment and recurrence after follow-up were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the recurrence rate after treatment was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the syndrome scores and nasal ventilation ability of the two groups were significantly improved(P<0.05),and the improvement of the observation group was better(P<0.05).After treatment, the expression of TLR4/NF-κB pathway in the two groups was significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the inhibition of TLR4/NF-κB pathway in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Acupoint application assisted treatment of allergic rhinitis in children can help improve the clinical efficacy, improve the clinical symptoms of children, and reduce the recurrence rate after treatment. The mechanism may be related to inhibiting the expression of TLR4/NF-κB pathway in children with allergic rhini-tis.The treatment is safe and effective, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
